Girly drinks are mostly colourful and low on alcohol content. They are preferred mostly by women because women do not like the hard taste of alcohol alone. Rather they want to make it sweet or salty to provide their tongue stimulation. Many men who do not want to feast on hard alcohol prefer gimlets, martinis as well as girly drinks. Sexy alligator and zombie
Sexy alligator is the name of the cocktail prepared from Malibu, Chambord Midori and pineapple juice. It is prepare in a shaker and served in a shooter. The recipe comprises of shaking half ounce of Malibu, half ounce of Midori and one ounce of pineapple juice with ice and straining it. Add the dash of jager in the glass and serve it. The alcohol content in the drink is sixteen per cent by volume. The recipe is a delight for all those who do not enjoy shooters. Also the medicinal taste of Jager is hidden in the pineapple aroma in the drink.
The next drink in the section is called Zombie. It has an alcohol content of twenty three per cent and one reason why the drink is named so is because young girls who are fond of it walk like Zombie’s after drinking it! Jokes apart, the alcohol content of the product is pretty high and the drink is made from a host of substances. It appeared first in 1930s when celebrity restaurateur Donn Beach who made it for a departing friend. It is made in the proportion of one once of each dark rum, white rum, golden rum, apricot brandy, orange juice and pineapple juice added to quarter of an ounce of lime juice, two dashes of Bacardi151and one dash of Grenadine. Making is easy just shake the ingredients apart from Bacardi in a shaker and pour it in a glass. Ten add the splash of Bacardi and your drink is ready to be served.
Caipirinha
This is a very classic drink that originated in Brazil. It is now the national cocktail of Brazil and is prepared in a shaker. The art of making this cocktail is noteworthy. Remember you cannot be in a hurry to prepare your girly drink. But be patient and proceed to make your drink with precision. Take a lime and roll it to loosen the juice. Cut it into six to eight wedges and put it in a glass containing two table spoons of brown sugar. Pour two ounces of Cachaca in it and shake it vigorously with few ice cubes. Shake well for ten to fifteen seconds and serve it in an old fashioned glass. If it is hard to find Cachaca then you can replace it with Vodka. The word Caipirinha has a both masculine and feminine meaning attached to it, but in Brazil the drink is necessarily feminine.
